1. ABOUT US:

    Mahendhira Teacher Training institute is a unit of Mahendra Educational Trust established in 2006 to impart the Professional course of Diploma in Teacher Education who seek to become primary school teachers.

   The institute is situated in Periyamanali about 50 Kms from salem 20 Kms from Rasipuram. The institute is approved by NCTE and DTERT

    The College is run by the Mahendra Educational Trust whose members are:

3. ELIGIBILITY :

   The Eligibility for the D.T.Ed course is 10+2 basis. The candidate should have passed XII std either in Science or Commerce subjects.

4. INFRASTRUCTURE / FACILITIES:

  • FACULTY :
    Eminent, qualified, efficient, talented teaching staffs as per the NCTE and DTERT norms are serving in this institute

  • LIBRARY:
    The Library Has numerous reference books, journals and dailies to upgrade the knowledge of the students by extensive reading

  • LABORATORIES :
    Separate Laboratories for physical science, biological science, educating technology and psychology with adequate equipments and the computer laboratory with internet connection is available.

  • COLLEGE BUS:
    The College buses are operated from all important places in and around salem at a radial distance of 50 Kms

  • HOSTEL:
    Separate Hostels for boys and girls are available. The Hostel has a homely atmosphere with stern and casing wardens.

  • CANTEEN:
    A Well Furnished canteen providing quality vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is functioning at reasonable rates.

  • PLAYGROUND:
    There is a large playground with separate courts for the major games.
5. FIELD TRIP :
   As Per the D.T.Ed norms, field trips are arranged every year to the places of historical and tourist importance.
