     The Mahendhira Teacher Training Institute was started in the year 2006 by a renowned educationalist Shri. M. G. Bharathkumar. The College is run by Mahendra Educational Trust.

     The College is situated on the national highways connecting Salem and Chennai. It is just 12 kms from the heart of the steel city. The nearest railway junction is Salem and airport is becoming operational soon. People can reach the college round the clock easily.
